I just got back to North Carolina from Los Angeles last night. I had so much fun hanging with my family and my girls. I can’t believe I’ve been belly dancing with Hannah and Leila since 2008…..!!!
Leila, Shoop and I were reminiscing about this Bollywood piece which was our first choreography together! SO CUTE! Choreography is by Heather Shoopman and Calamity Sam and Heidi also appear in this video. Back in the Se7eN & Bliss days!I always listen to MC Panjabi Radio on Pandora at work, this song always comes on and I can never remember the dang choreo. Thanks to Lynn for taking the video, maybe I can refresh my brain cells.

Blood Moon: Now That’s Fun!!!
Unmata’s Annual Blood Moon Regale is happening this weekend in Sacramento. Hannah, Leila, and I are driving up early tomorrow morning. We are going as spectators instead of performers this year, but you can catch us onstage as extras in Shoop & Calamity’s number. I have a feeling it’s gonna be REALLY FUN!

Around the World in 80 Days
The Nautch Project is debuting a brand new choreography for this show and Se7eN will be bringing back the Blood Moon tornado piece in a more watery reincarnation.
Many of my favorite dancers are going to be in this show; it is really a great line-up for a great cause.

Tribal at the Nile
Today I am going to Bakersfield with the Nautch grrls for Tribal at the Nile Fest. I am really looking forward to getting out of town with my girls and having fun and dancing. The Nautch Project is performing in the Saturday evening showcase. Our set rocks! Leila, Hannah, Amber, April Rose and I are all gonna pile into her car and drive up tonight and the rest of the Nautchies are joining us tomorrow. This fest has lots of great dancers and workshops. April Rose is teaching one around 1pm tomorrow. Don’t miss it! It will make all your secret dreams come true forever. really. trust me.
Listening to Crystal Castles right now and counting down the time till I can leave work.
Michaella Manning
I recently designed a promotional postcard for my good friend and fellow dancer Michaella Manning. I really like how it turned out. The concept was to have one side reflect her cabaret style and the other side to reflect her tribal style. She is one of the most talented dancers I know & I love her to death!
